an understanding of the nature of worship, the role of musicians and singers in worship, and both individual and team development as Christian artists. The second is practical skills development as a whole team and the capacity to work together in presenting worship music, both existing and new material. These two areas are critical to the very nature of a worship teams’ role within a church, but in the week to week schedule of rehearsal and church service presentation the opportunity to stop, reflect and target specific areas of need often eludes the average worship team and their leader. The Presenter Our worship seminars have been developed and are conducted by Dr Daniel Kay. Daniel’s background as a full-time music director teamed with his current and extensive experience in the music ministry as a singer across a range of churches and denominations throughout Australia and abroad provides him with a unique understanding of the needs of worship teams. Additionally Dr Dan’s postgraduate studies have focused specifically on church singers and their context; therefore he holds a broad, researched and well informed perspective on worship team dynamics and church culture. Daniel has a vibrant communication style and vast capacity for presenting seminars which are engaging, informative and practical.
Seminar Sessions Seminars are custom built for each worship team by selecting the desired focus from a range of possible sessions, each with a flexible duration:
Dr Dan and the Djarts team work closely with seminar organizers to ensure they select the modules most important for their worship team at the time and build these together across the specific time frame.
Flexibility Seminars can be conducted over: Full Day, Half Day or Two (2) hour instructional session It’s totally up to you – the seminar organizer. We understand that the weekly program and yearly schedule of church events often makes it difficult to find time for extended training specifically for a worship team, so flexibility and tailoring to the needs of the individual group are qualities we pride ourselves on.
